Tenured Professor Fired for Blogging Moves For Summary Judgment Against Florida Atlantic University

In 2016, Florida Atlantic University (“FAU”) terminated a tenured faculty member in retaliation for his widely publicized questioning of the Sandy Hook Elementary “massacre” on his personal blog. This week we moved for summary judgment against the University on behalf of the censored professor, in what may very well be the most important free speech case pending in the United States right now, at least with respect to the rights of tenured academics in American public universities, which is where “the vigilant protection of constitutional freedoms is nowhere more vital”.
